A word of gratitude for Arjan Eleveld, whose vision continues to shape our path

We were informed by the family of Arjan Eleveld that he passed away April 17th 2026. Although we knew that his illness would eventually lead to this moment, the news still brought deep sadness and touched us profoundly. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones. Through this open letter, we want to express what Arjan has meant to us and share that his presence remains with us in the way we think, work, and move forward at Jonathan Warner. We invite clients, partners and all those who knew him to read these words and join us in remembering the person he was and the legacy he leaves behind.

Arjan,

As we look back on the years we had the privilege of working with you, one thing stands out time and time again: your ability to keep seeing what is human and essential, especially where others get lost in structures, systems, or models that offer only an illusion of certainty.

You taught us that leadership is not about position, but about behavior. Not about control, but about trust. And perhaps most importantly, that what is invisible often matters more than what is visible.

What you have built, in friendship, in people, in thinking, and in Jonathan Warner, is of great value and has touched and transformed us as a team. To have to let that go now, so early, may have been one of your greatest challenges.

But you had the courage to face it. We see it as our responsibility to carry this forward, now and in the future.

Your ideas live on in how we see, how we work, and the choices we make. And especially in these times, when uncertainty is all around us, we feel even more strongly how relevant your vision is. That in the end, it comes down to humanity and courage. To speak openly about what truly matters. We will continue this, with full conviction.

With respect, gratitude and confidence
Team Jonathan Warner
